Outdoor housing
The VDK Agri calf igloos are specially designed for rearing calves outdoors. The calf hutches form an ideal environment for the first weeks of a newborn calf's life. The igloos are sturdy, labour-friendly, easy to clean and also comfortable in high temperatures due to the special coating. Apart from the individual igloos, VDK Agri also has an extensive range of duo accommodation, hybrid accommodation and group accommodation.

Pair housing
Recent studies have shown that duo accommodation at a young age has benefits for calves and farmer alike. Keeping calves in pairs from the age of 0-3 weeks until they are 8-12 weeks old results in better social development, better feed intake and better growth.
Hybrid
The Hybrid is a unique accommodation concept for calves, in which the calves are housed outdoors both individually and in small groups. This allows the calves to stay in the same hutch from day one up to an age of three months.
Group hutches
Calves often regress after relocating from calf igloos to group pens in a regular cowshed. This can be prevented with VDK Agri group hutches.
